Merville Beach Ile Maurice

La Terrasse, the restaurant at Merville Beach, is surrounded by lush, tropical gardens. The restaurant overlooks the swimming pool and offers a picture postcard perfect view of the Bay.

On the offer at the restaurant are exotic cuisines, inspired by Chinese, Creole and French traditions. La Terrasse's special touches include tables d'hôte menus, buffets and friendly barbecues.

Le Badamier, the bar, is a comfortable place to relax in.Sitting under a traditional thatched roof, guests can take in the breathtaking view of the turquoise lagoon, whilst sampling colourful cocktails, local drinks or a range of international beverages. The Bar also provides a Beach Service during daylight hours.

Room Service is open from 6.30 to 23.00 daily and guests can order sandwiches, meals and drinks from the comfort of their rooms.

The resident band at Merville Beach entertains guests every evening, with a great variety of international and local favourites for dancing, just plain listening or dreaming under the tropical night sky. Evening entertainment also includes Sega nights, featuring colourful Mauritian dances and songs and cabaret shows.

Spa

Merville Beach is one of the few 3-star hotels in Mauritius to have its own spa. The Spa is done up in colourful and sensuous shades of light purple and fuchsia. Combined with the tropical, garden atmosphere, the ambience makes one feel very receptive to the many treatments on the platter.

There are six treatment rooms dedicated to massages, two of which are double rooms, two single rooms and two double garden kiosks overlooking the lagoon.

The Spa faces the turquoise lagoon. On its fringe is an outdoor, salt-water pool. Guests can relax on any of the three king-size double beds, after the treatment.

The spa also has a double sauna and a double steam room.

Sports and Leisure Facilities

The hotel enjoys the privacy of a secluded beach of dazzling white sand bordering the crystal-clear waters of the lagoon.

There is a large swimming pool, with a paddling pool for young children. It is surrounded by an inviting terrace, where guests can relax under the shade of beach umbrellas andcoconut trees.

Water sports such as water-skiing, windsurfing, lasers, pedal boats, kayaking, snorkelling and glass bottom boat rides are available free of charge. Big game fishing, speedboat trips, catamaran cruises, and diving lessons can be arranged for additional payment.

Facilities for land sports such as floodlit tennis court, volley-ball court, football pitch and gym are accessible to guests free of charge. Mountain biking and golf can be added at extra cost.

Honeymoon

Honeymooners are given a special welcome, with gifts of a tee-shirt for the groom and pareo for the bride, a complimentary platter of fruit on arrival and a bottle of sparkling wine.

Weddings, conducted by a Civil Official, can be organised in wonderful tropical surroundings, either in the Garden Court or on the beach. The hotel can arrange photo sessions and a special aperitif at the Bar on request, followed by a romantic candlelit dinner, either on the beach or at a special table in the restaurant.

On wedding days, the Resort offers a wedding cake and a special marriage menu, as well as a bottle of bubbly. The morning after, there will be a special breakfast on your private terrace.

To make the holiday even more romantic, honeymooners and wedding couples can opt for a whole range of extras, including Sega dance shows and French champagne.
