Main Restaurant (300 Seats)

The restaurant's terrace overlooks the main swimming pool. Beams of light from gobos illuminate the pure, contemporary lines of the interior, where shades of orange merge into rounded lines and cubic shapes.

The main restaurant is divided into three areas,  based on the concept of three open kitchen s, offering a range of international cuisine, with buffet breakfasts and lunches and à la carte or buffet dining.

Beach Restaurant and Bar (65 Seats)

This is the place to relax with your feet in the sand, watching the sea, having a hearty salad lunch or enjoying the Latin cuisine. The dinner menu varies from themed evenings to buffets to à la carte.

Lounge Bar (150 Seats)

The main bar is split-level, with a unique décor combining contemporary and traditional touches. The wooden bar counter is at table-height and the bar itself is surrounded by large, comfortable armchairs.

White and turquoise predominate the colour scheme, offset by wood, steel and glass fittings, to create a feeling of warm, contemporary elegance. From the ceiling, globes of light add to the subtle atmosphere and reflect in the ivory-coloured flooring, studded with bluish decorative tiling

The Lounge Bar offers a selection of cocktails, rums, beers and spirits of international brands.

Sport & Leisure

There are days when it is difficult to decide whether to laze by the three swimming pools or lounge on the beach. The Tamassa's pools are so inviting that activity can almost seem a challenge. But there is plenty to do to keep the days varied and entertaining.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The hotel is situated at the beach of Bel Ombre and in the coastal village of Bel Ombre, 30 km from airport and 45 km from Port Louis. The nearest village, Chemin Grenier, is the busiest and largest village of the south.

You can take a taxi to Chemin Grenier. The ride will take approximately ten minutes and cost Rs. 150. Buses ply to the village too, and the ride is around 15 minutes. A bus ride to Chemin Grenier costs Rs.19.

The hotel has very high standards of cuisine and comfort and is ideal for relaxing, active families, group holidays or golf as well as for honeymooners.

Spa

Gentle shades of green and khaki blend harmoniously with the wood and the surrounding greenery.

The spa has 16 treatment rooms, 14 of them double rooms. Facilities in the spa include:

• hairdressing parlour
• beauty salon which provides beauty care and massage.

The double treatment rooms (17m²) all have a private garden outside.

Kids and Teens

Kids Club

A circular building houses the Kids Club, which is next to the tennis courts. It has a large amphitheatre-shaped space for shows, a dining room on the terrace, 2 internet-access screens, a sandpit and a rest room. The Club is air-conditioned and is for children between the ages of three and 12.

The kids are looked after by qualified staff that organise activities from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day. A baby sitting service is available on request (with supplement).

Teens Club

The Teens Club, for older youngsters, has games machines, a billiard table and table football.

Conference Room

The air-conditioned conference room can hold 80 people seated cinema-style. Standard audio-visual material is available free-of-charge to hotel guests and includes the wi-fi coverage, a 35mm slide projector, an overhead projector, a video and cassette system, a DVD player, microphone, a flip chart, a video projector, a lectern and a wall-mounted screen.

Other equipment can be obtained on request (with supplement).

Honeymoon 

Honeymooners are given a special welcome, with gifts of a tee-shirt for the groom and pareo for the bride, as well as a complimentary bowl of fruit on arrival.

On wedding days, the Resort offers a wedding cake and a special marriage menu, as well as, of course, a bottle of bubbly. The morning after, there is a special breakfast on your own terrace.

To make their holiday even more romantic, honeymooners and wedding couples can opt for a whole range of extras, including a horse-drawn carriage, candlelit dinners on the beach, Sega dancers and French champagne.

To make the wedding day perfect, you can also add sessions in the spa, a manicure and pedicure and a leisurely hour or two with the hairdresser.
